Final 24 hour play challenge update for the night:
i’m 10 pages into what was going to be a 10 min. play. (looks more like 15)
gotta get some sleep, gonna finish this thing out tmrw (i have till 2:00)
Work on ending it properly then i’m done

Pre-writing is done (for now)
I’m about 5 pages into actual script material and exchanges between characters

We have a reilationship!

After a wonderful dinner break (Thanks to Leila for inviting me to her sorority to have dinner) work was done for a female counterpart to accompany our male. This play will only have these two characters. Their names: Paul and Brook.

Now onto seeing if I can get a plot out of this (not that it’s important).

Character one is done…

It’s going to be about ALL of a relationship I know that. Also pre work is done for my male (i think his name will be Paul) when i get back form dinner then I’ll move on to the woman of the story. When those two are done then through exploration a plot will come i’m sure…right? Thanks to Tim Hughes for joining the fray with painting with this play in real time! This is going to be cool!

24 hour play challange

So far just basic structure and goals are done…but even those are tentative. So far my inspirations are the album Untrue by Burial and this painting by my good friend Tim Hugues.

On to some character development and journaling. This could take a while till I move on to plot.

Ok so here is the deal. Today I’m going to write a play in 24hrs from beginning to end (including coming up with an idea, pre-writing, character work and finally script). Why do I post this? Well I’m going to give updates as I go, not so much for credit or discussion (although discussion is welcome) but so that you (Facebook universe) can keep me accountable for real progress today. I think hashtags are a twitter thing but I’m giving this thing a hashtag anyways: #24hrplaychallange
